Who is Mrs. Brady?
Whether you came into direct contact with her or you had only a distant connection, there is no doubt that Mrs. Nancy Brady had a defined impact on your life if you were a Governor Mifflin student. Mrs. Brady was the longtime advisor to the student governments at both the middle and high schools. Mini-thons, Homecoming Week, Java Huts; these were all events made possible by a true advocate for all students, an inspiring mentor we all came to know and love as “Brady.” And we were her “Bunch.”
However, Mrs. Brady’s legacy has not just touched Governor Mifflin students, families and teachers; her light stretched across Berks County and across the entire state of Pennsylvania as an active leader of Pennsylvania Association of Student Councils (PASC). Throughout her impressive career, Mrs. Brady served as a champion for helping students reach and realize their true leadership potential.
It was heartbreaking when we lost Mrs. Brady last year. However, this devastating loss does not mean the end of Brady’s Mustang spirit at Governor Mifflin. Instead, we would like to invite you to join in remembering Nancy Brady and all she has done for the GM Community by taking part in the Nancy Brady Leadership Fund.

What is the purpose of the fund?
In the spirit of Mrs. Brady’s legacy, the mission of the Nancy Brady Leadership Fund is to support impactful, innovative, and inspirational programs and activities for the students of Governor Mifflin Middle and High Schools. During her time at Governor Mifflin, Mrs. Brady challenged student leaders to develop activities that would be fun, meaningful, and memorable across the student body. Her unique and groundbreaking leadership-focused initiatives were recognized not only within our local community but also across the state and on a national level.

Priority will be given to funding activities with a broad-reaching impact, such as bringing motivational speakers to the Mifflin campus or sponsoring Spirit Week programs inclusive of all students. In support of leadership development, students may also apply for scholarships through the fund to help offset travel or registration expenses for leadership conferences and experiences. With your assistance, we can help Mrs. Brady’s legacy live on and continue to inspire Mifflin students for many years to come.
